PTI Bloghop

Thanks to everyone who commented on Jacob's card. I really enjoyed participating in the PTI bloghop and I hope to visit some more blogs soon. It is fantastic fun to check out everyone's blog and see just how creative they are.
Coming to a layout soon is this photograph as it is one of my favourites. It was taken on our recent holiday on the island of St. Lucia and you can clearly see the twin peaks (the Pitons) in the background.

Catch ya later.

Quiet Time

Today I tried to have some quiet time to myself and do some card making. Unfortunately I kept getting interrupted so I wasn't as productive as I could have been. I did however, manage to make 3 cards using some more of my PTI stash. One of them was a sympathy card for an old friend of my mum's who passed away late on Friday evening. I struggled a bit with the colour combinations because I don't have all the colours of cardstock and ink to match but I did my best and I was quite pleased with the result. I also used my Butterfly Dreams stamps and matching die for the very first time (at long last I hear you say). I hope you like it.

More tomorrow - until then.

Training Wizard

Yesterday and today I've been busy running a two day training course on Supervisory/Management skills in Glasgow. I'm glad to say it went well and I scored perfect 10's in the feedback from the delegates. I always find that bit rather nerve racking because if the delegates don't rate you highly then you may not get used again. All I can say now is WHEW I'm glad it went well. At work I've been up to my ears doing a salary review and I really haven't had much time to sit down.

My crafting time has been severely limited of late but I wanted to share my latest toy from PTI. I used their A2 envelope liner die to make these pretty envelopes. I already have plans to use this excessively at Christmas time.

Till later.

Cropping with Friends

Today I spent some time cropping with "the girls" and we had a great time scrapping, chatting and generally putting the world to rights LOL. I actually managed to do two layouts which was good considering I didn't really start working until after lunch (what's new???). The first one I'll post today was done using the Bo Bunny Flutter Butter range of paper and stickers and the pearl swirl is by Prima. I stamped the butterfly background using my PTI butterfly stamp set and Brilliance Light Blue ink. The buttons were pinched from Val's stash as I had conveniently forgotten mine LOL. I particularly like this photo of Laura and I have used it a couple of time before. I think she looks so angelic that butter wouldn't melt and that was probably the case back then but maybe not so much now LOL.

Catch ya later gaters.

It's Finished !!!

I started this layout a couple of weeks ago and was really struggling with it. No matter what I did to it I just wasn't pleased with the result. I solved the problem today by changing the photo, the punch used, the colour for matting and I've stamped on it (not literally but with my chalk ink pad LOL). Now I'm happy and I really love the PTI buttons and the Bo Bunny Persuasion range paper. You can't really tell from the photo but I've stamped the white background area with Basic Grey Love Birds stamps (courtesy of my BF Val) using a pale, pale pink chalk ink.

Tonight Laura helps out at Rainbows then we are heading out to pick up some Dominos Pizza for dinner - YUM.

Tomorrow Val and I are getting together to "get crafty". I don't know what I'll be working on cos I've got so many things on the go at the moment so you will just have to wait and see LOL.

Catch ya later peeps.

Drooling Over PTI

Yesterday my friend Lesley popped in with my latest order from PTI. I had ordered two of their new stamp sets and dies but the dies went out of stock so quickly we didn't get it in the order and we've had to re-order separately. I also bought their new black felt and it feels gorgeous. I can't wait to try out my new dies on the felt when they arrive.

Thanks Lesley for bringing the order over and I hope the dies arrive soon so that we can play LOL.

Till tomorrow.

Some Sad News

We just heard today that Jim's Uncle Jack has lost his battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers go to his wife Jenny and son Kenneth. I made a sympathy card using my PTI With Sympathy stamp set. I used a C6 white card blank, black bazzill and pistachio bazzill for the card. It was very simple and I've made similar cards before. I love all of the different words in this set but this is my favourite - I hope you like it.

Today I attempted to do some scrapbooking but failed miserably, my heart just wasn't in it. Probably because I was worrying about what Laura was doing. She was out and about with some friends in Clydebank. There was a whole crowd of them including some boys whose behaviour shocked her into saying that she will never go back with them again. I suppose every cloud has a silver lining but I dread to think how bad the behaviour was to make her say that LOL. Perhaps it's best that I remain in blissful ignorance about what went on. The bits that I have heard would make your hair curl and I'm glad she has the sense to see that's not the way to behave.

Catch ya later.
